Privacy notice
Last updated: 29 April 2026
Who we are
mAbV Bio Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based biotechnology company developing a new class of prophylactic monoclonal antibodies. This privacy notice explains how we handle personal data submitted via the mAbV registration form on mabvbio.com.
What data we collect
When you register your interest, we collect:
Required:
- Your email address
- Your name
- The persona you select (Investor, Biopharma, Researcher, Academic, Press, or Other)
Optional, only if you choose to share:
- Your organisation
- Your role or title
- A LinkedIn profile URL
- A free-text message about what brings you to mAbV
Why we collect it
We use your data for two purposes only:
- To notify you when there is news to share about mAbV — typically a single email at launch, with occasional updates if you wish.
- To enable mAbV to reply to you personally, where appropriate based on what you have shared.
We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose your data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Lawful basis
We process your data under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR — your consent, given by submitting the registration form. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
How long we keep it
We retain your data until either:
- We have contacted you with the launch announcement and you have not engaged further, at which point we delete your record within 12 months; or
- You ask us to remove your data (see "Your rights" below), at which point we delete it within 30 days.
We do not retain data indefinitely.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted technical service providers ("processors") to handle email delivery and store your registration. The current processor list will be published here once finalised, and each processor operates under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with us.
We will update this section before any new processor begins handling your data.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored within the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, in line with our preference for UK / EU data residency. If a processor's infrastructure transfers data outside the UK/EEA, the transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing of your data
- Object to processing based on consent
- Withdraw consent at any time, with no detriment to you
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly-used format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for UK residents, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@mabvbio.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Every email we send you will include a one-click unsubscribe link.
No automated decision-making
We do not subject your data to automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Security
We use TLS encryption for data in transit and rely on our processors' at-rest encryption. We will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority of any data breach affecting your personal data, in accordance with GDPR Article 33.
Changes to this notice
If we make material changes to this notice, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
